Wise Words.

“Men of ideas and men of action have much to learn from each other, and the truly great are men of both action and abstraction.”

The Group Chat Experiment.

I know the power of community.

For almost 10 years, I’ve met with a group of guys every Thursday at 7 AM.

We call these weekly meetups, Man Morning.

We meet no matter what, rain or shine.

We walk, talk, celebrate our wins, share our struggles, and support each other when life gets tough.

I also know not every man has something like this in his life.

So, I wondered:

Could this kind of community be recreated in a virtual setting, with people who didn’t even know each other?

I decided to find out and tested The Man Morning Group Chat Challenge.

Seven men from different corners of the country.

Strangers at first, united by one thing: a desire to get better.

Every day for 10 days, we connected.

We shared our wins, our struggles, and what we needed to move forward.

We all used the 1 Day Planner to keep us locked in.

And what happened over those 10 days was nothing short of incredible.

We started each day by sharing what would make the day a success.

A simple question, but the answers were powerful.

Some said success was making time to be present with their families.

Others were pushing themselves at work.

For many it was getting in a great workout and eating clean.

But every answer had one thing in common: intention.

Sharing those intentions kept us all accountable.

Every evening, we would check in and share our wins for the day.

Wins big and small, like crushing a workout, tackling a tough project, or simply taking time to relax.

There’s a certain power in sharing wins, even small ones, with men who genuinely care.

Suddenly, the small wins didn’t feel so small.

They were proof that we were all moving forward.

The goal was to stack the daily wins on top of each other.

A great life starts by having a great day.

The group chat became a space where we encouraged each other.

This was especially the case when the motivation wasn’t there.

The beauty of the chat was that someone was always ready to give that extra push.

Accountability became a shared resource.

We called each other UP, not out.

It wasn’t always wins and rainbows.

Some days were tough.

Someone would share a struggle, whether it was a work setback or feeling challenge at home.

But the magic of this group was that someone else would say, “I’ve been there too. You’ve got this,” and provide encouragment.

This group chat wasn’t just about progress.

It was about realizing we weren’t alone.

We asked each other tough questions.

The kind of questions we often avoid in our day-to-day lives.

What are you not saying that’s swirling in your head?,” a prompt that made each of us pause and think.

It opened the door to real conversations, the kind most men rarely get to have.

It released the “emotional constipation” most men never let out and relieve with the antacid of bad habits.

At the end of the 10 days, something incredible had happened.

Strangers had become a group of men who had each other’s backs, who were willing to show up for each other.

Friendships were made.

Bonds were formed.

And connection was created.

Our hearts were full.

There’s a void out there for spaces like this.

Intentional, growth-focused communities for men.

This experiment showed me the real connection and breakthroughs that can happen when men are given the space to be real, to challenge themselves, and to support one another.

We need more of this, not just in person but in any way we can create it.

Are You Ready?

Check your phone right now.

Do you have this in your life?

If not, it’s time to make a move.

This is more than a group chat.

It’s the accountability and momentum you need from a crew of men on the same mission to get you to your best self faster.

Don’t do it alone.

Surround yourself with a group of men that won’t let you coast.

See how much momentum you can build.

Real wins. Real progress. Real connection.

That’s it...

Forward to a man who will appreciate it.
