Welcome to Man Morning, a weekly check-in for men who lead at work, at home, and in life.

The less I consume, the more I create.

Lately, I’ve been unplugging more.

No podcast or audiobook in the car.

No music at the gym.

No Netflix show in the background while I cook or clean.

Just silence.

At first, it felt like I was wasting time.

Shouldn’t I be listening to something helpful? Learning something? Getting better?

But I kept going. And here’s what I noticed:

I’m sharper.
More present.
Ideas hit stronger.
I’m making things that didn’t exist before.
Emotions rise and pass through instead of bottling up.
I see things I used to miss.

Turns out I was overstimulated.

Every day we take in more data than we can handle.

Opinions. Advice. Alerts. Content. Drama.

It’s all friction. All the time.

Scientists estimate we consume 74 gigabytes of data per day (the equivalent of 16 full-length movies).

No wonder it’s hard to focus and think straight.

Your hard drive is full.

You’ve got “apps” open you forgot about.

Thoughts half-formed.

Emotions unprocessed.

And you’re still trying to cram in more.

But the truth is you don’t need another voice in your ear.

You need time to hear your own.

Silence isn’t empty.

It’s where the good stuff lives.

The ideas you couldn’t reach before.

The answers you’ve been asking for.

The emotions you’ve been too busy to feel.

All waiting for you in the quiet.

It’s not about doing more.

It’s about creating space for what matters.

Stop downloading.

Start processing.

P.S. I’ve created something recently I never could have made before because I gave myself space. It’s raw, real, and powerful. Keep an eye on your inbox. It drops soon.
