25-Year-Old You.
We’re often asked, “What advice would you give your 25-year-old self?”
But maybe we’re asking the wrong question.
What if instead, you asked, “What would my 25-year-old self say to me?”
Imagine the 25-year-old you sitting across from you today.
What would he think of your life?
Would he be impressed with the stability and responsibility you’ve built?
Or would he wonder why you stopped taking chances and settled into routines you once resisted?
At 25, you were still figuring things out.
You didn’t have all the answers, but you dreamed big, made decisions and acted without hesitation.
You took leaps, tried new things, and lived with more freedom.
Of course, that kind of fearlessness can fade as time passes and responsibilities grow.
This exercise isn’t about regret or feeling bad.
It’s about reconnecting with the part of you that believed anything was possible.
Don’t forget, today you have more experience and wisdom than ever before.
Combine that with the courage of your younger self, and imagine what’s possible.
Maybe it’s not the older, wiser you with all the answers.
Maybe it’s the younger you, who hadn’t learned to play it safe.
So ask yourself: What would my 25-year-old self say about where I am today?
And listen.
You might be surprised by what you hear.
