Welcome to Man Morning, a weekly check-in for men who lead at work, at home, and in life.

I'm jealous of people who have to go to rehab.

I said this as a joke to a friend this week and he laughed.

Then he thought about it and said, "You know what? Me too."

Look, addiction is serious. If you need help, get it.

And, hear me out.

People in rehab get to press pause.

They step away from life for 30, 60, 90 days with a team, a program, and permission to focus entirely on getting better.

The rest of us?

We're out here juggling work, marriage, kids, bills, aging parents, ambition, and our own inner demons with no timeout button.

No program. No rehab. No applause.

Just keep going.

It's like the guy who loses 30 pounds.

Everyone cheers. "Look at Brian! Amazing transformation!"

But the guy who’s stayed in shape for 10 years?

Nobody notices. No applause. Just the pressure to keep it up.

I’m on stages almost every week telling people not to expect credit for doing what you’re supposed to do.

But here I am kind of wanting some.

The irony isn't lost on me.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

You don’t need rock bottom to deserve a reset.

You don’t need a crisis to justify stepping away.

You don’t need a diagnosis to get help.

Can’t do a week-long retreat? Book one night at a hotel.

Can’t swing that? Work with a coach or therapist.

Can’t do that? Take a 30-minute walk without your phone.

Can’t even do that? Catch a movie in the middle of the day.

Call a friend who gets it.

Sit on a bench and do nothing.

The point isn’t how big your rehab is.

It’s that you give yourself permission to have one.

Stop waiting for a breakdown to give yourself a breakthrough.

You don’t need a collapse to make a comeback.

It's not another boring PDF with words typed on a page.

Instead, it’s a visually crafted manual with visual and design elements that hit differently than a typical PDF.

Six focused sections that show you how to reset, reboot, and recommit to what matters most … all while staying fully engaged with your life and family

Because you don't need permission to get better.

You just need to give it to yourself.
