Overwhelm.
Most people aren’t “crazy busy.” They’re distracted and lack focus.
If you regularly find yourself overwhelmed, here’s what to do.
Step 1: Pause.
Step 2: Take a deep breath.
Step 3: Think about your life like it was a computer operating system.
Step 4: Ask yourself, “How many apps do I currently have running in my life?”
If you have a lot of “apps” running in your life, it can slow down your life operating system.
Worse case scenario, it can lead to a “crash.”
Step 5: Identify which apps are essential and must remain open.
As Jim Collins is quoted as saying, “If you have more than three priorities you don’t have any.”
Step 6: Identify which apps are important, but can be minimized for the time being.
Step 7: Identify which apps are distractions and not important and close them.
A powerful question to protect your most precious assets - your time and energy:
“What am I willing to give up in order to live the life that I want?”
