Wise Words.

“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.”

E.E. Cummings

You Should Know.

Celebrate Our Boys.

“Why don’t they celebrate boys?”

This question, asked by my 7-year-old son, caught me off guard.

He mentioned an announcement at school about Women's History Month.

“I want a Men’s History Month,” he continued.

Then he went on to reference other celebrated occasions throughout the year.

He wanted to know why boys are never celebrated.

The little guy had a point.

Outside of sports, it seems like society overlooks and fails to visibly celebrate boys.

This is troubling.

What message does this send to them?

Ignoring our boys can leave them feeling unseen, undervalued, and excluded in their formative years.

Some will argue that historically, men have held societal advantages, and today the focus is on elevating voices that were once marginalized.

While this may be true, we're talking about boys — future men who are still carving out their identities and understanding their value in the world.

Recognizing the success and challenges of young men is critical for their development.

It reinforces that they have important roles to play in society.

It fosters a healthy sense of self-worth.

As fathers, mentors, and role models, it's our duty to uplift and celebrate our boys.

Let's show them they matter, not just in achievements, but as valued members of society.

Does society do a good job of celebrating boys?
