The global sleep economy is valued at more than $400 billion a year.

People invest in special bedding, take supplements, and wear special rings and watches to track their sleep - all to get a good night's rest.

But it’s not working.

People suffer from sleep disorders and are experiencing the mental and physical tolls due to a lack of sleep.

So what gives?

As much as we talk about the importance of a good night’s sleep, we don’t talk enough about earning it.

Far too many men go to sleep every night exhausted but have little to show for it.

Deep inside many know that they’re living 35 mile-per-hour lives and not giving their all to what matters most. This gnaws at them to their core.

This is why they toss and turn.

It’s the undercurrent of unused potential trying to wake you up to what life can (and should) be.

Many are pros at giving their all to their nine-to-fives. But they are amateurs when it comes to putting energy into what matters outside of work. Their family. Their health and fitness. Their dreams.

Far too many of us give our all to seemingly everything except ourselves.

That’s until enough is enough.

A decision is made to turn potential into action and action into progress.

You don’t need a sleep ring, special mattress, or melatonin to do this - you just need a mindset shift.

Earning your sleep is about knowing that every day, even if only in small ways, you…

  • Fully showed up for yourself and those who matter most...

  • Did more than you were supposed to…

  • Acted on that fire in your belly instead of lulling yourself into complacency with booze or distractions...

  • Ran through the finish line of the day…

  • Made yourself proud…

When you hit that pillow tonight, know damn well that you earned the comfort of that cozy comforter and soft sheets.

Demand more of yourself.

That’s how you will sleep soundly.
