⚒️ JACK OF ALL TRADES

You’ve heard the phrase:

A jack of all trades is a master of none.

This is typically used as an insult. It means a man is limited and doesn’t have deep expertise in something.

However, the saying didn’t begin as a criticism. The complete saying is actually:

A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.

This is meant as a compliment. It means a man has range and is resourceful.

In many ways, being a jack of all trades can have advantages in work and life.

Wide knowledge, and curiosity, can lead to excelling across various fields and connecting different ideas that don’t seem to have connective tissue.
