🪩 The Man Morning Question
🧨 Do Women Respect Vulnerable Men?
Do women only respect their men when he plays the hero?
Maybe you’ve experienced this first hand.
You’ve poured your heart and soul into being a provider and protector, but it still feels like your woman doesn’t appreciate you unless you’re saving the day.
But what happens when you’re not Superman?
What happens when you’re vulnerable and struggling?
Do you worry that your woman will turn her back on you, judge you, or even kick you when you’re down?
Unfortunately, many men feel like they have to hide their emotions and put on a tough exterior just to be respected and loved.
A viral Instagram video recently tackled this topic.
It struck a nerve with both men and women.
The conversation around emotional openness and vulnerability in men is more important than ever before.
As we’ve previously addressed, there has been a dangerous rise in isolation and loneliness with men.
This can lead to addiction and even suicide.
Sadly, men don’t always have healthy outlets to share how they’re really feeling.
To complicate matters further, there’s a societal perception that women are harder on men, and even judge them when they’re open and share their feelings.
Of course, this isn’t the case with all women.
We’re curious about your opinion on this hot topic.
Do the women in your life judge men when they’re going through a tough time or being vulnerable with their feelings? |
💬 Wise Words
“There are two questions a man must ask himself: The first is ‘Where am I going?’ and the second is ‘Who will go with me?’ If you ever get these questions in the wrong order you are in trouble.”
🔋 Positive Peer Pressure
While this comic may make you laugh, it’s one of the main reasons why we started Man Morning.
Far too many men unknowingly speak harshly to themselves.
This can negatively affect their personal and professional lives.
Sadly, most don’t even know it.
A key tenant of Man Morning is spending time with Allies, men who call you up (not out) to be the best version of yourself.
If a negative comment like this happened in a Man Morning, it would be immediately addressed.
We would tell him that he’s not a “fucking idiot.”
We would remind him that we’re here to support him any way we can.
It’s this kind of positive peer pressure that can have a powerful effect on a man’s life.
Does Man Morning have a sense of humor?
Absolutely.
But our humor is never at the expense of our fellow brother.
